When you are not on campus, you can still access all MSU Libraries' databases through our website. You will be prompted to enter your NetID and NetPassword. You may also use MSU's VPN (virtual private network) service, which configures your computer so that it appears to be connected to the MSU network as if you were on campus. For more information on how to install a VPN on your computer, please visit: http://www.its.msstate.edu/files/MSUVPN.pdf
Your NetID and NetPassword is tied to your course registration status in myBanner. For example, if you are working on your thesis, you must be registered for a thesis credit course in the current semester in order to access library resources from off-campus. For further help, please don't hesitate to ask a librarian!
